Well, I am ready to get over February and looking forward to a hopefully warmer March and longer days!.
I have summed up 5 of my current favorite products from the drugstore, that I have been obsessed with this past month!
Some of these are not brand new products, however I only recently discovered these at the drugstore.
1. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Overnight Gel Mask (2.59$)
This is a Single use Mask with Hyaluronic Acid, that belongs to the range of Hydro Boost products that Neutrogena has come up with.
Why I like it: It is a single use overnight gel pack that is extremely affordable under 5$! Its convenient and travel pack friendly, and does the job well. I love that it smells good and makes me feel refreshed. I have combination skin, however since its Winter, it definitely works wonders for your skin.
2. Essence ‘Make me Glow’ Liquid Bronzer (5.49$)
A drugstore dupe for Benefit’s High Beam Liquid Highlighter, in my opinion (similar packaging as well). I am still pleasantly shocked by this product. It retails for 5.49$ at Ulta and is such a steal for this price!
Why I like it: It comes in two shades , namely a pearly highlighter and a bronzer. But unless you have extremely porcelain skin, the “bronzer” would act as a perfect highlighter for most skin tones, as it has a nice golden champagne-y glow to it that is subtle and flawless. I like to mix this in with my BB cream.
3. L’Oreal x Balmain Lipstick in the shade ‘Fever’ (13.99$)
The L’Oreal x Balmain ‘Couture’ lipstick collection, well obviously, has a gorgeous packaging. I am a big fan of brick-red or terracotta orange lip colors, so it’s no wonder I fell for this shade. It is a nice warm bright terracotta orange and would be perfect for light-medium skin with yellow to neutral undertones.
Why I like it: The killer Glam packaging, beautiful shade and a satin-y finish
4. Essence Get Big Lashes Mascara (3.99$)
Again, another steal from this brand! Essence definitely has a way of creating amazing products at a really low, affordable price. The packaging is cute and fun and surely curls up my lashes in a way I didn’t expect it to.
Why I like it: A winner in my book. The mascara claims that it does not clump , and it proves it. It doesn’t feel sticky, volumizes and separates my lashes perfectly! Great for everyday, subtle or for those no-makeup make-up looks!
5. NYX Powder Puff Lippie (8.49$)
I am sure if you are you a beauty junkie, you would have come across this across various YouTube platforms. I have thin lips and hence prefer light yet pigmented lip products. My favorite is the shade ‘Moody’, which is a perfect nude pink mauve brown that would suit most skin tones. Do note that it does not dry down matte, neither is it transfer proof , as it is not a liquid lip.
Why I like it: I like that it has a mousse-y yet pigmented formula and the sponge applicator that it comes in. Perfect for a lightweight, soft everyday lip. Psst- You can also engrave it with your name or anyone else’s name or initials, at the NYX website for 2$!
And this wraps up my list! Hope you enjoyed reading this!
Have a good week!
