Hello All! Happy Fridayy! The weekend is almost upon us, phew. Beginning this blog post on that bright cheery note.
I am a person with contradicting tastes, when it comes to the choice of colors of my outfits. I love a warm bright orange, mustard or red, as well as a muted ,toned down pastel. And also basically just living in a sweatshirt and leggings on most days! When I do decide to experiment and play with bold hues, I tend to go all out (most likely when I’m in a better mood )
This was one such day where I decided to play with classic shades of red and black. It doesn’t have to be Valentine’s to wear red right? I think it’s never too much red when you layer smartly or match it with your accessories and add your own personality to it. It is the most versatile bold, universally flattering shade after all.
I was torn between textures and prints and hence decided to layer the next season’s staple-A Polka dot sheer turtleneck, under a black satin camisole and topped it off with a plaid blazer along with a bright orange-y red coat as the outermost layer. I chose to keep the look a little edgy with distressed flared jeans and added classic orange-y red pumps to complete the look.
I love how the layers add dimensions to this bold outfit , and is perfect for a girl’s day out or a fun day-date outfit. Also, I love these jeans! They are super comfy, chic and flattering for most body types(especially flattering for body types with wider hips and thighs) and the embroidered detailing , had to be a love at first sight without a doubt!
Hope you like this styling and look. Looking forward to transitioning to a warmer season!
